- Rich Zinsser finish for wood trim, floors and furniture and an excellent pre-staining and protective sealer for wood and other porous surfaces
- Bulls Eye shellac
- Shelf life: 3 years
- Surfaces must be clean and dry
- Old finishes should be soundly adhered and sanded smooth
- Stir well and use directly from container
- If thinning is desired refer to reduction chart on side of container
- Apply with a brush, pad, or spray
- Use a roller only on porous surfaces such as drywall
- If brushing, use a full brush and avoid excessive brushing
- Do not apply if humidty exceeds 80%
- May be tinted to any colour by adding up to 50ml universal colourant per litre
- Apply to several boards at one time, following the grain
- Let dry 2 hours then sand lightly
- Apply 2nd coat and let dry 4 hours before using floor
- Apply 1st coat and sand lightly when dry
- Apply 2nd coat after 2 hours
- If a 3rd coat is desired, sand lightly and wait 4 hours
- For a satin finish buff with 0000 steel wool
- Once coat under any oil-based varnish or lacquer assures an even and lighter overall finish
- Do not use under oil-base polyurethane
- Prevents uneven stain penetration over soft woods such as pine
- Apply a 1 lb. cut and sand with 400 grit paper before applying stain
- Apply one or two coats to knots and sap streaks to prevent bleeding into finish paint
- 9.8 - 14.8 m2/litre depending on surface porosity
- Dries in 30 minutes or less; recoat in 1 hour
- Clean wet tools, spills, etc with denatured alcohol or household ammonia
- Flammable
