    • Used for taping, covering and finishing coats on wallboard joints, for concealing fastener holes and corner bead, and for repairing cracks and holes
    • Sands easily and feathers to smooth edge
    • Liquid content is carefully controlled at the factory to ensure minimum shrinkage
    COVERAGE:
    • Approximate coverage in kilograms of compound per 100 m2 (1000 ft 2) of drywall panel is as follows: Regular - All- Purpose Compound (3 coats) 55-68 kg
    • 105 sq.ft. of drywall
    STORAGE:
    • Rotate stock to avoid aging problems
    APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
    • Wallboard joints are normally finished using three coats of compound; the first to embed the tape, the second to cover the tape, and the third to finish the joint
    • These compounds can be used for all three coats
    • Apply the first coat to the joint in a band about 64 mm (2-1/2") wide
    • Centre tape over joint and embed with a broad knife
    • Allow to dry for 24 hours
    • Apply second (cover) and third (finishing) coats, allowing each to dry thoroughly
    • Sand between coats, if necessary
    • Feather edges of each coat 50 mm (2") beyond the previous coat
    • Finished joint should be about 350 mm (14") wide
    • Allow to dry for 24 hours before sanding
    • Use 120 grit sandpaper for the Regular and 150 grit for the Lite and Semi-Lite on a hand or pole sander
    • Do not sand the surface wallboard paper
    • Note: to avoid dust, joints can be finished by wet sanding or sponging rather than dry sanding
    • If dry sanding, ventilate the area and wear eye protection and a respirator
    • For best results, apply a primer-sealer prior to painting or wallpapering
    • For severe lighting conditions, or if a gloss paint is to be applied as the finish coat, it is recommended that the entire surface of the wallboard receive a skim coat of compound before applying the primer-sealer
    • This will assist in equalizing the rate of absorb- tion of the gloss paint and help to avoid flashing at the joints
    MIXING:
    • Re-mix before and during use, if compound has separated
    • To thin, add no more than 40 ml (1.5oz) of clean water per kilogram of compound
    • Mixing by drill motor, particularly at thinner consistencies, may entrap air in the mix, possilby resulting in "pin holes" in the finish
    • Mixing at low RPM or by hand will minimize air entrapment
    DRYING TIME:
    • Approximately 24 hours depending on temperature and relative humidity
